Okay. DaX has been busy and created Despertar del Cementerio v4, which is a Pandora modification that will take you to 3.80 M33-5, one of his latest firmwares. it identifies if you have a Slim PSP, and has a display this time around, since it didn't for a little while.
Qj article: http://pspupdates.qj.net/Despertar-del-C...g/49/aid/112081
You need a Pandora-version battery and a Magic memory stick. If you don't have those, but you have access to a PSP with custom firmware already installed, follow this guide.

You can pick up a DATEL PSP battery tool, which is a Pandora battery ready-made, from here.
http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/catal...ery-p-2676.html
This can be used as a normal battery after, using Booster's multi-IPL loader, found in the U.P.M.S. installer.
There is a way to generate a magic memory stick from the computer, but I don't have a link to it.
Do you still have a fat PSP on custom firmware?

No around the time I left the 3.11 downgrade via lumines had just came out. M33 was just making its way onto the scene...

unless you can get a battery cheap i'd buy the pandoras battery cause it'd be cheaper. Here
If you find a battery cheaper, no it's not hard to do.

But you still need skills with tiny soldering.

Not unless you want to convert it back to normal. Plus since it's a corner leg you have to break it's pretty simple to solder back. I used a pencil and drew a line between the points and its still going strong, no soldering. But in my link above, their about the cheapest for a Pandoras.

In you sig I'm jealous. You got me beat by like 45 minutes. might be because i was playing it on my PSP. I'm sure I did it faster on the PS1 but can't remember. The first try was like 11 hours. Straight. The wife at the time actually rooted me on and brought my food and drinks. God I miss her. HAHAHA!!!

Ok I'm going to order this batttery, but it says it is only for use in original psp systems... Will it work in my slim, and when I put in the battery where do I go from there? Will it automatically send me to a c.f?

It will work in your slim, since the original battery works in the slim.
When you put in the battery and the memory stick, you should see the U.I., which will tell you to press a button to install the cfw.

My last question is , what is the whole magic memory stick thing about?
Will I still need one even though I have the battery?

Yes, you need one, because the battery and memory stick are a pair. If the battery is in service mode (Pandora mode) then it tries to load a firmware off the memory stick. So, the magic memory stick has a firmware on it, just not an official one, and this "firmware" can let you write to flash0.
