how do you send it back to them in the same box, are you being forced to pay for shipping this time then? or just have to write 'refused' on the box so it will get shipped back at no cost to you?

In the original post, where I said my friend got the sticker first, well he also just had to send his back in to MS a couple days ago.
His didn't rrod, but it wouldn't connect to LIVE. The connection test failed at "Xbox LIVE". No, it wasn't banned, eiter. MS tech support determined it was an usb problem (whatever that has to do with the network jack?) and that the mobo was bad. They sent him an overnight box and he had to send in the console and power supply.
But anyhow, he had removed his sticker, but hadn't opened his case yet. So he had to put his sticker back on.
So we'll see soon enough if they can detect if the new sticker has been tampered with.

My friend had opened his and the seal was a little messed up and he spray painted it black and they sent his back with a new seal. Has anyone had trouble with them not accepting a 360?

Yep. Someone reported here on AD not too long ago about receiving their 360 back unrepaired with a letter about it being tampered with. And I read about the same thing on other forums.

All i used was a hairdryer and a small flathead screwdriver, just hold the dryer by it for about 15 seconds and then take the screwdriver and slide it under the clip NOT The sticker and pull the tab up and the sticker should come up.. just leave the screwdriver in place untill u unclip the back of the system
Which clip do you mean? Can you mark it on this picture(or another on from your own xbox or a video would be the best!):

Yep happend to me 2 weeks ago I fought with them in e-mails and on the phone,ever answer was something read off a screen so now my xbox is in ny getting repaired,just talked to them today going to cost about 110 to get fixed.My sticker looked good also ive seen ones on new console's look worse.I didn't really have a leg to stand on cause the xbox was registerd before from someone else.So they said take it back to where I bought it,but you know how that goes the blame game starts,so instead I sucked it up in sent it to a place that fixe's them.

Quick question when they sent it back with the letter did they send it out really quick?
Mine was delivered to them on Saturday and they just shipped it out at 3pm today. Hmmm either I prob. got a new one or i got squat lolz

You can either call them in ask the status of it, or go onto xbox website in look at the status,but I would call that way they will tell you if there was a problem.I knew something was up cause serial number was the same on website on the one shipped back.Hopefully you have better luck then I did.I would say if your orig oner fight it if they didn't replace it,say you bought it at walmart or something I'm sure people do swap's all the time at wallyworld.

nope, its a 90 day warrany, but im pretty sure that the RROD is still covered from 3 yrs of manufacture date. the 90 day is for crap like you dvd player going out, etc.

Freaking pisses me off!I must of got the new guy or something, next time I will Break it up in million little pieces and send it in.There is a guy on X-scene that got a new xbox for doing that.It was a core but still better than what I got ,screwed in the @$$ and I am not enjoying it.

LOL I think I will Sounds better,I've got a few guns SKS,30.06 And a few 12G's.I am hopeing that this fix from 360pros is better than any new xbox,I don't care if it's loud thats why I got Surround sound.
