Hey,
I just bought me a Samsung SH-D162D drive and flashed it with kreon's alternative firmware 1.00 for the D drives. Now, when i put in my xbox360 game that i want to backup, and in Xbox Backup Creator 2.8 I select my kreon drive, i go to options, change drive to the D model, set both re-tries to 20 and go to read (full backup)(no splitvideo) and hit start.
It startswith huge numbers of block and sector errors, then after a while it says this: "There was an error reading the XDVDFS file system. The app will only loose minor functionality and should be able to continue normally. Do you want to continue without the sector mapper?
i hit OK, then another huge load of block and secter error with at least every 20 seconds a pop up that says: This is not normal with Xbox 360 discs and should be considered an error.
Partition offset LBA: xxxx
Overall offset LBA: xxxxxx
Name: Unavailable
then 3 options: Retry Read, Zero Fill Sector(s), Cancel Read

So i hit the first one, then it continues for like another 20 seconds.
I also tried with another 2 of my games.

When i use Schtrom 3.4 it starts directly with No valid video.iso found, select blank-xtreme 2.0 and insert video.iso later, so when i do that, it says directly: Error after single sector reading
This is normal on XBOX1 discs.
On Xbox 360 discs this should not happen!
Do you want to continue and fill unreadable sectors with zeroes? (YES/NO)

I don't know what to do or how to fix this. And the games play fine in my xbox 360, and they are ORIGINAL!

PS. I am using windows Vista

wish i could help but i don't use Vista. There is a conflict somewhere between the system and your drive for sure.
Two things you can check :
1. go into your device manager under the IDE channels and make sure they are set to use DMA mode.

2. before you start the read process go to the tools tab and hit the "unlock drive" button and then try the read.

yeah i will, but there is one more problem, m HDD is SATA and to install on sata you need 3rd party drivers that you need to load from a floppy by pressing F6. but my computer doesn't have a floppy drive and also no more room to put one in. Is there any other way to put windows xp on my pc ?
