Well if you want to know the truth about the next PSP firmware, here is the REAL list below. My Uncle works for Sony of America and is working with PSP's. First of all, theres a debate to make a 4.00 or skip to 4.50. But these are the updates known for now.

*PS1 titles has been expanded.
*PS1 titles now has a Connect Feature to allow 2-4 players.
[NETWORK]
*(2000 series) Flash Player has been updated to 7
*(2000 series) Internet browser has been updated for current websites
*PSP filter has been added for US PSP
*GO! Messenger is available for US.
[MUSIC]
*(2000 series) Music Can be shared between PSP Systems
*(2000 series) Videos can now be shared Between PSP's
[Settings and other]
*System reboot has been added
*(2000 series) User accounts has been added
*Organizer and play list setup has been added
You may think this is fake but its more for the psp slim&lite. There is also known that future updates after this may have IPL disable, but since that is for pandora and system mother board, its hard to patch.
The reason the list is long (again) is basically for the slim&lite. sony is still debating to go to 4.00 or skip to 4.50. PSP fat owners, your gunna be out of luck soon, your RAM space is getting to low for more updates.
Also for Slim&lite owners, For later 5.00 or above, their may be a 1SEG support in US and EU.
Well those are just WISH lists about 4.00. This is the most real thing for 4.00. shockwave? not even the psp slim RAM can support that. PS3 network titles? If the PSP doesn't even have R2 and L2, how is it going to play? those other list are unrealistic. 802.11g? thats not inpossible, but the PSP's WiFi card is still far from that. Flash 9?? Theres no way adobe made somthing for the PSP that fast. Flash 7 mobile is most possible. So dont get me wrong. they expect to cram all that in 4.00? i dont think so.
