wii update 1.9 forum is too scattered and confusing?

May I suggest a separate thread to post only updates like wii update 1.9b? etc or links to where we can download the update for playing ssbrawl?

also maY SUGGEST Q&A FOR the forums on this wii update eg.

1. what is the best name and size dvd media for burning 1.9 update?
just telling us to use better media doesnt really help!

2. I have wiikey not sure which one so what steps do I need to do to update 1.9b and please explain the steps as us newbies just dont understand when you abbreviate or make assumption that we know what you are telling us!


I hope you will post software and how to update instructions in CLEAR and ADEQUATE details here only otherwise for us newbies to search the forums at the present is just too confusing .

So the stickies in this section must be invisible to you?

FYI There is NO update for playing brawl other than on the disk unless you are talking about making sure your console firmware is current in which case Nintendo will do that for you online ;).

DVD media is subjective and dependent on the burner, software, speed so that can't be defintely answered though there are plenty of ppl always ready to pipe up with their chosen disks. Not all disks work for all ppl but it's generally accepted that "better media" does actually help. :P

This thread doesn't assume anything other than ppl can be bothered to read it. If you struggle with terms, acronyms, abbreviations etc then I've personally always found google to help.

Personally I think too many ppl want a quick fix so that overnight they glean all the info the rest of us have spent ages absorbing and in addition try to stay staying current with - when in fact it's not quite that easy. The number of ppl asking the same questions that are actually answered in stickied threads, like how to update their wiikey to 1.9b - on a daily basis is ridiculous and they just want others to type the same sh!t over and over again! And then they say they've looked but can't find the answer.

In my opinion many ppl aren't prepared to work hard enough to find out and understand info on technology they just want to take for granted and in that case they shouldn't actually mod their Wiis because it requires thought. The wealth of information provided here is way too much for them. :)

The wiikey thread isnt hard free8. I was worried about updating my wiikey at one point, but Rafadawn really took some time to make the wiikey thread, and it is VERY easy to understand. It just take a little bit of effort.
