how do you tell what drive version you have? eg 0078k etc.?
i tried googlin and search but only came up with stuff about how to tell what brand it is

The only way to know for sure it to open it up. It'll say the version on the label on the drive.

hmm okay thanks. what about when i bought it, it was around august 2006. were the 00078k/79s out yet? anyone know what the latest one out then was?
