I've attempted to create a magic memory stick using a few different methods. I've tried two different programs called TOTALNewbieasyInstaller and 390M33EasyInstaller but neither of these programs worked. The first one will not start and the second one says i may not have permission to access the file but i have an administrator account. One guide called the UltimatePandoraPack told me to format the card with command prompt, then add some files that were supplied with the guide, and then on the last step where i enter "msinst.exe X mispl.bin", command prompt tells me that there is a partation problem.I have read some guides on partitioning the mem. stick to make that last command work but they are just way above my head and they are always a seperate guide that doesn't flow well with the rest of the magic stick creation process. The last guide i tried was the one that i found on this site called GUIDE: Universal Unbricker V3 Using Official Firmware FAT/SLIM PSP which seems to be working for most everyone -even some vista users- but when i try and open "START.EXE" i get that i do not have appropriate permission line, when i have the highest account. AVG also gave me a trojan horse alert when i first tried to open start.exe but it still doesn't work when AVG is turned off. Please Please PLEASE, one of you smart people put together a complete easy follow guide for installing cfw on a slim psp with Vista. Thanks for any easily understood help.
That last bit! I just got the exact same thing
but i've done this twice before
and now my computer just all of a sudden wont let me
the start.exe gives me the line non appropriate permission and cannot find file or something, please help!
I have now somehow, don't ask me exactly how cause i don't know, gotten the start.exe from GUIDE: Universal Unbricker V3 Using Official Firmware to work when i click on it. I've restarted my coputer a couple times and kept AVG from turing on and it came on. However, it still will not complete the magic memory stick creation totally. It seems to skip the very last step when i am supposed to hit "y" one more time, it instead goes to the credit's screen. So it seems we need a installer specifically designed for windows vista
