Hi, newbie question. I have been using Cucusoft Mpeg/Avi to DVD/SVCD/VCD/MPEG Creator Pro Version 7.07 to convert .avi files and burn to blank dvds. When I have multiple .avi files (such as with multiple episodes of tv shows), I cannot convert and burn on the blank dvds as separate files. I can combine a number of the .avi files and convert as one large dvd file, but cannot separate them on the dvd. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I haven't used that particular software, but 'DVD Flick', by default, presents each title as a menu item.

I have a full season of a tv show in avi. 32 one hour shows. I have convertxtodvd and also dvd shrink. I put all the shows in convertxtodvd and it said the quality will be poor because the file size is too large. Do I just do it anyway and use dvd shrink? How do I know how many shows I can get on one dvd without losing quality? BTW - I've burned movies without problems just not used to burning tv shows. Thanks

Two or three hours of running time on a standard DVD disk for DVD formatted files..

If I faced the prospect of converting 32 shows to DVD, I would buy a standalone player that accepts DivX files (which I suspect these are) and burn the files as data (no conversion required and you just keep adding files until the disk is full).

Thanks. Yea, this just seems like too much work. I'll go check out some DVD players.

VSO ConvertXDVD - http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

You can add several avi files, create a menu to play them individually and compile the lot into a dvd structure.

Very easy to use and has a high quality encoder without the need to codecs installed on your machine. I have not put 32 files onto a disc like cueball67 has, but had up to a dozen on a DL disc.

As attar says, might be best to pickup a dvd recorder with hdd that supports divx, xvid, mp4 and leave the avi's on a disc.

I didn't put all the files on one disc. I was going to but convertxtodvd said it would be a poor quality. Wasn't sure how much to put on there 5, 10, 15 files to make it a good quality so I didn't do anything. I'll probably just watch them on my pc. :)
