It is a helluva lot better. We might get blocked, but we can fight back. You try to fight back in China and you are libel to get a bullet in your skull rather than a lawsuit filed against you.

I am one of the first people to agree that there are things I would like to change in the way some capitalist countries run certain aspects of themselves (DMCA is a good example). But those of us in those countries must always remember that we have a real say in the way our government is run. If we disagree with something, it is our right to say so. In a country like China there is only the illusion of an individuals voice. They let people vote in local elections only to throw out the votes for the non-communist candidate. If a town gets out of line, they declare martial law and arrest the population.

I guess what I am trying to say is: Yeah, capitalism (particularly in a democratic republic) is so much better.

That does suck, but it is the action of the companies and not the government. Any one of those companies could elect to not do what the others are doing. (And probably get more business because of it)
