My first post so please be gentle. I am trying to flash my M28 Samsung with the latest ixtreme using IPrep. The flash drive was created on a fresh install of XP with all drivers updated. I am using the VIA 6421A card with the latest drivers. I have updated the firmtool and defs and followed the textbook guide to a T. Everything goes well until its time to dump the orginal FW to my flash drive. My PC recognizes the drive in DOS every time, but once the 5/10/15/20 second trick is tried I am left with the flashing underscore. I got it to start once but it just stayed at 00%. Every time I hit ESC I get a different error code (f0, 51, 00 ...etc). I read over a boat load of old posts from 2006 and up but nothing they suggest helps. I have done all the disabling of BIOS options, tried different motherboards and replaced the Sata cable. I have found some talk of FWGuard and a 0800 disc, but not sure if that info is still current or not.

Can anyone suggest anything else ?? Been at this for 2 weeks now.

any luck with your flashing the drive? i am having the same problem and have also been at it for over a week now with no luck. i got it to dump the original.bin, but it won't flash or restore. now i am stuck with an e65 message with the xbox. very frustrating.

I ended up finding an old motherboard with a VIA chipset and it work great, so I am not sure if it was compatibility or hardware issues.
