"The Infectus 2 and Argon will both have a similar firmware to Wasabi (10 wires on D2C chip) and include the "dvd update" feature. The smaller sized Argon makes it easier to install inside the Wii, there isn't much space in there. The Infectus 2 will also fit, but it can be overkill if you don't plan on using it in other consoles besides the Wii."
Does the Argon and Infectus really include a DVD update feature? I'm fairly certain that I read on their website that you needed another device (I think it's called Injectus) to update firmware. I think it said there will be no DVD update feature. Can anyone confirm whether or not there is a DVD update feature? Thanks.

Yes the new 9 wire install will have DVD update. Currently it is in BETA on Infectus 2 and not available for ARGON yet. As soon as they get bugs worked out of the Infectus 2 beta version they will port it to ARGON.

As for the Injectus being required will depend on future releases of the Modchips. If the newer (SPI Flash) ARGON/Infectus 2 modchips come with WASABUS firmware pre-installed then you will not need the Injectus programmer. For older version and if the WASABUS does not come pre-installed as I understand you will then need the Injectus programmer to write the WASABUS firmware to the Modchip. After the WASABUS firmware is isntaled then at this time you can make future updates via DVD.

So allot of these questions will need to be answered at a later date when the Modchips go through transition to 9 wire WASABUS firmware. Even then you can still use the 13 +4 wire install which has been stated more stable by the Infectus team.
