Hi djf are you using the same method I use? Set your oven for 500 degrees and your DVD will burn nicely! and the blinking light should go out when it is done.

Can't help you if we don't know what your doing or using!!

LMAO.........

He/she is using ME.....that is all I got from the thread.......

So I can say......ME is oky for this however we need to know:

1. What burner are you using
2. How is it connected - master/slave
3. What other devices are connected on the same IDE as the burner
4. What software are you using to burn (nero, recordnow etc)
5. What media are you using -r or +r and what brand
6. Does ME detect your dvd burner within windows and can it read cd's without problems etc.....

For starters I think.........

fasfrank, what brand of oven do you use, mine is a cheap indesit with the lastest firmware, however I am encountering 'cyclic redundancy' errors when I push for max heat.....I have cleaned the tray's and lamps but still the same.......

Do you think if I placed a casserole in first, this would unlock the burner.......LOL

djf1530

No offense intended, just a ltlle humour.....

If you can provide some answers to the above, we could nail the problem.........it may just be down to the fact that your burner is not recognising the media inserted (therefore flashing light, as you said)......

Try a different brand........my mate had issues with some types of media on his Pioneer 103 where it would just flash when asked to burn.........a different brand cured the problem....

Hope this helps....
