ok i know what the benefits are of cfw on a psp cuz i have it, but i have no idea (and i have searched)what the benefits are of installing linux on a ps3? like what does it let you do that the regular firmware won't?

Linux lets you use emus...its like Windows on PS3, but you can't use 3D stuff, becuase RSX access is restricted in Linux.
