Hey there, I am new so please be nice to me...lol

I have tried to get a downloaded file to play on my stand alone DVD player. I can play the file in Windows media and with VLC but when I burn it to disc the sound is all speeded up. This only seems to happen to me with files that have AC3 as the audio files. I use DVD Flick and then DVD shrink.

I am a noob so can someone explain how to get round this easily?

Thank you in advance.

To be clear, after converting the file with DVD Flick, it outputs the files to a folder. Can you play the contents of the folder ok?
Does the DVD, when played back on the PC, sound speeded up?

The files play fine on the computer after I downloaded AC3 filter, before that I wasn't getting any sound from them in Windows media player 11.

Yes, when I play the DVD on the pc after it's been sorted with DVD shrink the sound is speeded up. The files (.vob) play speeded up in the DVD Flick folder I created to store files.

Normally when I have used Flick on other movies it works fine, but I don't think they have AC3 files in them.

To see if the problem follows the file, try converting it with this program.
It doesn't generate a menu, but you can play back the output to see if it makes a difference.

Are you transcoding the file from one format to another, ie NTSC 30 fps to PAL 25 fps.

It may be dropping frames and as such the audio is faster than the video. Haven't seen this sort of problem since FlashMPG days.
