Run GSpot, drag the file onto the window and see if it can read the codec.
'toesb' sounds like someones nick.

Thanks Attar for replying so quick, I downloaded the suggested file gspot, ran the film and the codecs say it is an mpeg2 file and is already in dvd format,I have googled the toesb name and it points to some mathematical type or something, would you know of any programme that would convert this file,I have tried convert x programme to no avail. thanks for your time in helping.

If gspot thinks it's mpeg2 then .mpg is a viable extension, as is .vob... just try renaming it.

Hello varnull,
Thank you also for the quick reply,I did a bit of research and found that the person saved it as an image file,It cant be changed into another extenstion (weird).Anyway some good news is that I have finnaly found a programme which converts the file to a readable movie in dvd shrink (and Burn)(I tested a small portion of the file)It's called Winavi.
Thanks for the help I recieved and this may help anyone who comes up with this totally strange problem.
bye

Perhaps, if you change the extension to ISO you can straightforwardly unwrap it in DVD Shrink. Seemingly, the file exhibits the properties of a valid DVD video.
