Is anyone else having problems with pinnacle 11 ultimate?
My pc runs everything very fast, it's Intel quad-core Q6600 processor, 4gb ram, 8800GTS video. I don't understand why pinnacle is so slow & keeps crashing & when i edit bits out or anything, the data gets jumbled, i trim a movie & the ending appears on the bit i just cut in the middle?!?!?!!? It's annoying because it looks like a decent piece of software:( I thought finally i had found a editing program with the ease of windows movie maker but with the coolness of vegas & adobe premiere. Anyone got any ideas or maybe suggest a different program, it's annoying because i've got the whole package so i want to use it, rather than buy a different one. Thanks in advance.
what kind of files are you editing? if you are using mpegs, my advice is videoredo plus or womble mpeg video wizard. Both are extremely stable and rarely crash my computer.
I've used pinnacle 8 and 9 and like their interface and ease of use, but stop using them because it would crash my computer half the time. From your description it looks like version 11 is as unstable as the earlier versions.
If your using the latest version of pinnacle with all the patches and updates and it still doesn't work, I would start testing other video editers. I recommend the above mention editers because I use them and they produce output quality that is similar to the original.
Thanks jony, i use them instead, its just when i did use pinnacle i loved the chroma key thing, i made some videos cropping out the sky & put a different video there instead, very cool.
