They repair it, or was it a refurb or a new one sent back? Got one coming back soon from Mesquite.

A hair dryer will solve that new sticker problem.
In that post I started, where I said my bud got it back before me with the new sticker, well he has to send that console back to MS again. It works, but fails at "Xbox LIVE" during the connection test. It's not banned, after trouble shooting on the phone, the MS tech guys claimed the usbs were bad on the board. How that affects the network connection, I don't know, but oh well.
But anyhow, he has to put that new sticker back on and send it back. So we'll see if MS can detect if it's been removed and reapplied. Once he up dates me, I'll let you all know.
Oh, and he didn't get a refurb back. It was his same console, same serial number, and same Hitach 78 drive. So they're not always sending back refurbs.

That's exactly what I was saying in SL's "whats it worth" thread. And it's not just that we have to be worried every time, it's that we've had to worry every time for the past 2+ years. There is seriously no reason for it to take this long to iron their shit out.
If it weren't for the games and great quality of LIVE, they would have lost me as a customer.

If the PS3 was put together better as a system and had some good games M$ would have fixed the whole RROD issue a long time ago but since they have no worries or rush atm they are draging ass. But we will see what happens when Sony and PS3 unleash the full power of a blueray disk on thier system. I wana see M$ drag ass then

You know, there are alot of fanboys who say "I hope the 360 fails" or "I hope the PS3 fails"... but this is a PERFECT example of what it would be like if there were only one console on the market.
The 360 didn't have any competition for a long time and it was selling well. They didn't have to address the rrod issue. People didn't have a choice if they wanted to play the next gen games.
But now that the PS3 is taking off, you can bet MS can't drag their asses any longer.
