my current set-up is an original sky mini dish with dreambox 5620s, naturally using CS, however the pictures regularly freeze on all channels regardless, so im looking for a way to counter this. so
can someone reccomend a solution or a signal booster (if needed)

although im grateful for your help my problem stems from picture freezing- as was seen on sky tv back in 2001 with the picture breaking up on screen

A tv/cable booster is not working for satellite. Complete different frequency range.
A inline 10db sat booster could work. A better idea would be to realign the dish.

have been on a certain fleebay website which sells inline sat amps/boosters and have noticed gains which either go to 18db or 20db

which should i get considering

my set-up is orig sky minidish connected straight to dreambox 5620s

If your reception previously was good it looks like a storm moved your dish a little bit.

not really mate, i used to have normal sky set-up (sky mini dish and digibox)

i now use sky mini dish with dreambox 5620s- im doing card sharing

the picture continually freezes

please can u reccomend a solution via way of booster/ amplifier

the storm hasnt moved the dish- it works fine with the pace digibox but picture freezes with the dreambox

Whats about the none scrambled channels. Do you get picture freezing at that channels via your 5620 box?

absolutely all the FTA channels often freeze eg BBC1- truthfully not as much as MTV base, but it freezes nonetheless
