Yea, it doesnt matter to me. Make it any day that somebody wants to host one. Just limit it to like 2 tourneys a week or something so that you dont get butt loads of requests.

There was only suppose to be one day for tournaments a week though, and unregulated tournaments are going to lead to a clusterfudge for certain which end up on this whole thing getting the boot.

honestly... i dont care at this point. I just want some kind of tournament. whether it be one or two, that type of stuff can always get changed later if the demand is high enough.

I was reading the official thread that was under construction and I would like to help with
hosting. Here are my speeds as requested. I live on the east coast of the US.

London: ping 206 ms
download 9735 kbps
upload 2313 kbps

New York: ping 61 ms

Los Angeles: ping 89 ms

When I play with the clan most of the time they make me host. I rarely lag. I can host 24 in
Warhawk.

I'm off all weekend. That shouldn't be a problem. What time and what day? If it is a tournament how many teams and who decides team captain. Team captains should be senior members or higher. Lets work on the sign up sheet and maybe the answers will come together. I added you on PSN.

I'm trying to figure that out now, some people are religious so they might have a problem with Sunday yet on saturday is usually when people are most busy. What do you think about time and date?

Lets go with an unofficial sign up sheet. On the sign up sheet please include your location so we can try to accommodate for everyone. Once we now who is playing we can go from there. If we are going to do it this weekend we have many things to do in a short amount of time.

Thank you Creaky for temporarily closing the tourney thread.

Since the suggested afd hi-scores is going to be a very complex setup I'd like all of your input on how the points etc, should go.

The points should vary depending what kind of a tourney you would win ie if you won a death-match tourney rather than being part of a team. Also the points will have to vary upon the number of people/teams participating.

Also people other than the winners will have to get some points but to what extent and how far down the ranks?

I would like suggestions on a few other tournament styles as well, I'm going to add team ladder tournaments and big team battle best of tourneys to the current list but I'm sure there are a few other styles you all might like.

It's not complex for me, all the tourney master has to do is PM me on who ranked in which place for each round, and I'll update the leaderboards.

So are we just going to go off wins and losses then?

No, Im saying that like if you rank 2nd on a round of a tourny, 5 points would go to your place in the leaderboard. If you then scored 4th, 2 points would be added to your leaderboard rank.

Yeah the deathmatch setup is simple but what about points for the team tourneys?

honestly, i think yall are overestimating how many people are going to play. i cant say that ive seen more than 20 people since the beginning of this thing actually interested. but i could be wrong, i was hanging out in the wii forums when i think all that warhawk stuff was going on. maybe interest is greater than i think it is. what is this point system for anyways, bragging rights?

if the points system goes through i suggest that the person with the highest amount of points get a mod position at aD. now theres something worth playing for.

creaky, i challenge you to a cage match!

Seems you've got it under control, I'd suggest creating the Hi-Scores on the tourney thread itself by editing your first post on it, we can still access it to edit it even though it is closed atm. It would keep things neat. We just need grkblood to erase his first post.
