I have a AVI here who acts wery corrupted, a error "index" might be the smallest problem
It doesnt even show any play-time-lenght in VLC player (who are the only player to play it offcorse) and "Mediainfo" thinks the movie is 2 h 41 min..wich is aiming little to high i think
Do you think it can be fully fixed judging on VirtualDubMod:s "little" loading-analyze here? without having to convert it, ore is it even unrepairable?

"application" is absolute best for repair index? cause i guess thath is the first thing to test?
I have used Allmediafixer on the file without effect..but im not sure it's supposed to fix index specific either
And this (agressive mode) "reconstructing missing index block" thath Virtualdubmod auto-offer dont work either..cause the program crash as soon as i try to save a new output after the reconstruction procces finish (only)
and "Scan videostreams for errors" in VD reports 1 bad frame
If VLC can play it, then you could attempt to transcode it ('File' > 'Wizard').
VirtualDub says it cannot open it because there is no decompressor - if you have 'FFDSHOW' installed, you can check the VFW configuration to make sure it's turned on for DivX.

I tried transcode on my own in VLC and i got a unplayable output thath was 3 times less big as the input in size :) offcorse withouth any extension..i mean what did you expect from me! :) im truly incompetent at this so dont announce the file dead by this
cause i know nothing about codecs exept there names, and what would be a prober codec exchanger for the input im complete lost at, all i know is thath Divx 5 is not a available alternative to choose..moore about thath down below
My only chance is honest a step by step VLC transcoding guide for idiots, so i can gladely give you my video specifications here, then if you could perhaps just put my info into the text how i shall "klick" and you can choose yourself whats the best codec alternatives in exchange for my input

thath is everything vidoeinspector and Mediainfo tells really
The problem with the file seems to be compounded by the fact that there is no DivXcodec installed in the system.

I would install the FFDSHOW package then ensure that the VFW configuration (which will be accessible from the 'Start' 'All Programs' menu after installation) has Divx enabled, then try loading the file into VirtualDub again.
