what does the wlip do? Do u need wiikey with it? Whats a wii with cut legs? i got a wii and dont know if i should mod it or not

You could actually google all your answers. wlip is to enable solderless modchip fitting but wiikey still needs to be soldered and it's not 100% reliable.

Cut legs - an attempt by Nintendo to put off ppl soldering modchips in - it hasn't worked.

Youe need to know what version your wii is to see which modchips are suitable.

Infectus 2 is the hottest best future proof chip out there and I recommend you get professional fitting regardless if you don't solder yourself.

Other options depending on your wii are argon, d2pro, wasabi if you wanna take a chance on it working in the future wiikey.

To use a wlip with a wiikey you have to remove the socket from the wlip cable and solder the wiikey on to the cable. Then you clip it to your drive and hope the contacts work - and don't ever come loose. Alternatively solder the wiikey directly to the drive without using a wlip.

Okay well - you should definitely NOT buy a modchip and try fitting it yourself. Get a pro to do it cos if you don't even know what solder is you really can't fit it yourself - I wouldn't even try it using wlip if I were you. Trust me.

You might have to send it away but there are plenty of good online stores - depends on your location. Again this has been discussed in other threads cos plenty from here have done it but go have a google "mod chip installation" and you will get results.
