There are various guides in this section covering various things including avoiding region bricking. Read those.

1. Wii brick blocker will check the region.
2. Bona Fide PAL games are ok on your system. But you need to learn about out of region problems and bricking by reading up.
3. SMG is finished with - you can't use it to update again if you mess up. Wii updates are one-shot deals.

Hey juniR....

if a PAL game requires an update on a PAL system and wiibrickblocker has been run on the ISO will the game still work ?!?

Joe has mentioned some games in his first post, but I have found that even with the latest firmware downloaded from the net they still run the update.

If this is blocked... will they still work? I know it won't cause any harm to a unit of the same region, but wondering if its good habit for unsuspecting users to run wiibrickblocker on any ISO that haven't created themselves.

tbh - I dunno m8... I dunno exactly what brickblocker strips out. I have NEVER used it myself LOL - I used the PPF on brawl and that stripped out anything harmful but left the game updates. That's the only import I've messed with cos there's only a couple of others I have bothered with since I got dupe channels with MP3 and they had no updates.

It's important to understand that a game can contain the latest firmware as well as a game specific update. I usually wait for specific info before I try anything I'm unsure of.
