I've been experiencing an odd online problem. I get a three person lag. What I mean is that when hosting a room everything is fine until the number of people hits three. More than three or less than three and I'm fine, but with an exact three people it's almost as though my whole connection gets flooded.

These are routers have issues with the ps3.

1.) Linksys wrt54g causes stability issues and three person lag as stated above.

2.) Linksys befsr41 no lag or stability issues but will not allow the mediaserver function to operate properly.

3.) Belkin F5D7230-4 has no stabiltiy issues and allows the media server function to work properly, but I get the three person lag again.

If you know of any other routers that have problems please list them. If you know why I'm getting this three person lag please feel free to hit me off with yoour opinions.

I'm not having that problem but I am having a problem with my router and PS3. When connecting to the PS Network Downloading Game Settings pops up. It will just run and run and run. It always pops up but usually only takes like two seconds to download the game settings. I can fix this by resetting my router. It doesn?t do this all the time maybe once every two or three days, but like I say I can reset the router and it will fix the problem.

My router is a NETGEAR RangeMax. I'm not using wireless I have it wired to the router.

I use to have that problem, where it would lag a little. And I did something kind of random, I took of the cisco firmware and installed dd-wrt on it. (I have a linksys wrt54g). DD-WRT is an open-source firmware for the linksys wrt54g (and other compatible routers) which makes your router ten times better. You have a lot more customizable options, and I don't have that lag any more. You should look into it.
