I just made my old fat battery and a 1GB stick into a Jigstick and a Pandora (with my already modded Fat PSP) and want to use it to downgrade a new 3.72 Silver Slim to install CFW on it...probably 3.71M33...
my question is, what do i do next?...Im reading all this stuff about putting 3.40 and 3.50 OFW on a memory stick and expanding kernels, and this C+D tools thing...I never did any of this the last time...but then again the last time I wasnt working with a slim...
can someone guide me?...

if you have created a pandaora and a magic memory stick insert the memory stick and then put in the battery if done correctly a menu will appear select install what ever the highest custom firmware is depending on what magic stick you created make sure it is at least 3.71 m33 or it will not work with a slim

I made the Pandora and Jigstick on a 3.71M33 if thats what youre asking, so just put those two in the slim and I can downgrade it?
what is all this Despertar del Cementerio v4 that people are saying is required to downgrade a slim then?...

Despertar del Cementerio v4 does the same job as v3 but rather than 3.71M33-3* it installs 3.80M33.
just go for it, and make sure to dump the nand first.
edit - it's 3.71M33-2.

so if i use DCv4, i need the 3.80 eboot loaded on the card, not the 3.71 right?...and i just follow the same steps detailed in the v3 faq?....
is it that simple? as to just plug the pandora and the jigstick in the slim and run a program?
and just to be cautious (as this is not going to be my PSP), is there a faq that details all these steps for me?....or am i good to go with the readme that comes with dcv4?
thanks much!, im jus a lil nervous with this one...

Yes. After that download 3.90M33 then download update 2 for it as 3.80 ain't the greatest. You can get the updates Here. You'll have to get the 3.90 official eboot and rename it to 390.pbp You can get that Here. Just place it in the root of you mem stick.

Once your at 3.80M33-5 you can either update with the links I gave you, or if you have wifi you can just use the psp's update from your XMB cause from 3.80M33-5 the XMB update comes right from Dark_alex's site.

dont get it....I put the MS in the slim, after running the DCv4 thing and deleting the 150 and 340 FWs...
then i put the pandora in, the green light goes on, screen stays black, and nothing happens....is this right?...did i miss a step?...or do something wrong?
I know the last time i pandora'd my battery, it did that where once its inserted into the system, the green light goes on...
what did i do wrong?..

you did memory card wrong - do memory card right!
use this and try not to concern yourself with V4 or 3.90m33 or whatever else, until you're over this hurdle first.

hold on a sec, use this guide instead, i linked you the guide for use with cfw psp doh.gif.
but since they both use the same installer; no wasted bandwidth!

i really should read threads a bit harder!
since you've already got cfw'd psp everything should be a hell of a lot easier.
and as it happens, i've written a pretty easy-to-follow guide(if i do say so myself) for V4, which can be found here.
follow that instead, though i should add i can't be held responsible for any mishaps which might result from it's use.
or you could go for the tried and tested larrylje cfw guide which i linked to begin with.

now im confused bro...so many different guides and downloads...but you say my battery is good, jus need to create the mem stick correctly, and that last 158MB download should do it right?...
then i put the mem stick into the slim, pop the pandora in...and then...
will the screen stay black?...or will it display?

you're confused? i look like a fool! i think my "member" status is at risk of being taken away :(
the "larrylje cfw guide" is the one to go for as i've seen many people being linked to that and then coming back couple of minutes later exclaiming that it worked perfectly, so go for that.
