i upgraded to 3.90-2 m33 and it worked for me....didn't work on 3.71-4 m33 for me.

josh what custom firmware do you have? first thing is you need to download the cxmb plugin for the firmware you have at http://www.pspupdates.com and then find the appropriate themes for it at http://www.themespot.net or you could upgrade your psp to custom firmware 5.00 M33-3 useing the M33 Network Update and then download cxmb 3.3 with 30 themes from the link in my signature.

i dont really want to update because ive pretty comfortable with this firmware and i have been since it came out....
ive been flashing my psp but i thought ide give ctf a try.
i have 3.90m33
and i already have themes made for 3.90, i have the 3.1 cxm( i believe the dev made it for 3.71,3.80 and 3.90)...
i activate it in recovery, i put the themes in the THEME folder, but nothing shows up??
i have about 7 other plugins...
would it help if i disactivated(haha i dont think thats the proper term for that)them?
and i have a custom theme on my psp?
should i put it back to the original theme?
or does it matter at all....

well it seems your doing the right steps so you just need to trouble shoot and find out whats causing the problem and changing it to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins besides cxmb is a nice start, also try going to the recovery menu and reset your flash1 settings and other then that i cant really think what else would be causing the trouble at least for you since you seem to know what your doing.

btw 3.90 use to be my favorite firmware too and i had no problems with it and stayed with it for 6 months but once 5.00 M33-3 came out i upgraded because the themes are way better, the psn store and because of updated plugins that work better like custom firmware extender otherwise i would have stayed at 3.90 too

i found the problem...well actually i didnt...
i just restarted my psp a couple times and they just popped up...weird...

ive been wanting to go to 5.00
but im not sure if its actually worth it??
do you find it better than 3.90?

aside from not having the 300 themes i had before bersus the 45 i have now yes i like everything about it more and i'll just have to wait for some of the best themes to be converted or not but the way the new themes look i dont really mind so much because they look alot better imo

but really your not loosing much by going to 5.00 and your gaining a few more things like i mentioned earlier so its just a matter of finding a suitable replacement for irshell like for me i use custom firmware extender, xplora, and hostcore i just need to find something to let me do adhoc file transfers
