I'm trying to softmod my battery and i opened it up but i have this weird smell coming out of it.

how do you softmod it by opening it? if you mean hardmod then when you cut the pin or PCB smoke might appear

but if you do a softmod nothing should happen

try a different battery :)

I cut the 5th pin but the Pandora Battery Creator won't work and my ofw is 3.71.

If you cut the pin it should be a pandoras and you don't have to do anything more to it. Put it in the psp without a mem stick and if the light comes on it's a pandoras, if it don't, uh oh!!!

The light won't come on. And I have to have the charger in to have the PSP turn on. So that means i have to get a new battery.

Thanks anyway and if a friend has a cfw can he make a pandora battery with my memory stick on his psp?

yes if your friend has cfw he can make a pandora's battery with your memory stick but it would make his battery into a pandora unless u put yours in his PSP
