I just got a new 40 gig ps3 and every time i try to connect it to the net i get a DNS error ...
after the set up i go to test connection and what i get is

IP Address : Succeeded
Internet Connection : Failed

This is a DNS error (80710102)...

i have tried everything but nothing worked ... i updated the firmware , wired connection as well as wireless , entered the numbers manually , my ip address does not match my pc"s address , i've changed the values of DNS on the ps3 but nothing works ...

here is a discription of my connection layout

theres some cable connected to a beetel 200bxi router which is connected to my computer ( computer is also a server ) the computer is connected to a d-link des-1016d ethernet router. one cable from the ethernet is connected to a Linksys wrt54g wireless router and one runs to my room to where my ps3 is ...

I don't think theres anything wrong here ... Help please ...

i think i had the same problem, i turned my router off over night and turned it back on in the morning and it worked fine. I think my router overheated, this might be the same problem as yours. You can also try to reset your router.
