Hello,

How good are Sony Dual/Double Layer DL DVD+R discs?. Has anybody used these before and are they good if you do not have Verbatim discs at the moment?

no offense or anything to you centannim, but this question has to be the one i hate the most, it gets asked EVERY DAY it seems like because people cant search for their answer, or go to newegg, or tigerdirect and see what people are saying about them since most people buy duallayer discs for 360 games. but to answer your question i really dont know, i've read in previous posts they are decent at best, but use them at your own risk. sorry for going off on you at first, its late, im tired, and need to go to bed, lol.

I've heard alot of the time that some folk wont touch any discs apart from verbs,they seem to be the disc of choice

Sony is hit or miss when it comes to their DVD's and their DVD Drives. They outsource the work to other companies so you never know what you have until you run a media test. For games i personally stay clear of Sony DVD's. They work find for other media such as music and movies though.

If they were manufactured in Japan or Taiwan then you may be ok, but why take the risk of having discs that will not work, buy Verbatim.

i bought a 25 pack of sony at bestbuy a few weeks ago, when they were on sale, they were ritek i used them for the 360 and no issues yet.
