Is it possible to still update your 360 via a downloaded update or any other way if you have been banned for firmware mod? Or better yet, if your always offline on your 360 and havnt been banned, can you update still? And how about game patches?

Take your hard drive and use it on one of your buds 360 who has LIVE. I know it works because I used my hdd on a friends 360 (who wasn't connected to LIVE) and it updated his console to the latest kernal.

So your whole setup is on the HD rather than on the console itself? Or you transfer the update via the HD?
