iXtreme firmware for backups question

Hello,

I am planning on getting my 360 elite moded with iXtreme firmware. When I go to make my backups I was going to use my samsung SD-D162C dvd rom drive flashed with kreon v.0.81 and use clone cd software to make the disc. Is this all that I'll need? Any pointers? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Get Xbox Backup Creator. Use it to rip your games and Id use Imgburn to burn the iso's. This is the img burn settings http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=516786

Either way will work. Personally I have that same samsung drive, and then I use schtrom v3.3 to backup my games. It's the easiest to use of all the programs I think. And then like Dindi said, you can use ImgBurn, or I use clonecd which works perfect also for burning.

You know I always spoke out against verbs saying it was the same old thing just a little better for more cash but seriously its worth the few extra bucks not to have to deal with coasters and errors

I bought a 25 pack from frys for 20 bucks and they were trash. So I went to office max and bought a 15 pack of verbs for 40. Replaced the spindle with the DL's from frys and took them back and got my 40 bucks back. lol.

if you got a sams club around you dindi i would get em from there. not all carry them, but i hvae one about 45 minutes from my house that has 50 packs for 75 bucks. cheapest ive found them, and havent had a coaster in about 100 burns. have had bad burns but that was bc the power went out, or the computer shut down after a stupid windows update.

I currently have schtrom v 3.1. Where is the best place to get 3.3, or is it even worthwile? Will 3.1 do the trick?

Also when you use schtrom do you have it extract the whole disc? what option do you do to get the image000. file?

It makes complete backup's in about 10 mins. No need to inject ss bins and all that other crap. Just make the copy and burn
