Wiikey update problem

I've been searching everywhere for someone to tell me how to update my wiikey to 1.9g. When I put the update disk in, it says its a gamecube game(YAY!) then when I start it it just a black screen and nothing happens(Dramatic music). I've been going through the internet for hours and can't find anything that can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance
