I know you need a special DVD burner to copy the games, but can you use a normal dvd burner to put them on discs?

Yes, as long as it can burn DVD+R DL discs (dual layer)

I don't understand. What is so hard about using the search feature or simply looking at the top of the page and clicking a sticky. I'm a n00b here as well I understand how simple of an idea it is. How do you guys deal with this??

you get use to it. If you want to survive at AD just remember that you are going to see the same questions day after day after day. People never search first and even if they do sometimes they just do not know or use the correct terminology to find what they are looking for.
But this is a help forum site, so i guess that is what we are all here for in the first place. We were all Noobies at one time and someone was kind enough to help us out, so me personally, i am just returning the favor.

It just drives me crazy when I'm looking for help and I click on a thread to see the org poster asked a crazy question. Getting off topic here. Dindi I picked up those cheap ass DL discs from frys and they sucked. Only got one to work and it took 7 hours to get the burn started. I picked up a pack of verbs and they worked like a charm. I ordered a samsung drive off ebay. I was thinking I might find one locally but no such luck.

Ya its always good to try your first couple of burns on crappy cd's. Now where did you get your verbs. Online?

Nah I picked them up at office max. They were 39.99 for 15 and 49.99 for 20 or 25. I just kept the verbs and filled the spindle with the crap dvds and took them back to get my 40 back, lol.

Nope. And if they did they still might of bought it seeing as how the frys brand were silver tops with no writing on them.

I wouldnt even know what to start with as a search keyword, and when I did all I got was a bunch of topics about how to burn the games, not about the dvd burning drives in general. You know its more annoying in forums to hear people like you whinge and whinge again and again about the search feature, also considering half the forums out there are phpBB and have terrible search functions, none of them are perfect.
And this is a help forum, I did my search, didnt find what I wanted and so then I asked - What rule did I break there now? Why dont you try asking if I search first, rather than pissing and moaning. Just because I didnt find my result via that option, dosnt mean I didnt try.
