Administrators of Microsoft's Xbox Live online gaming community have cracked down on those who are found to be tampering with their Xbox Live Gamerscore. "Today we took action on some of the accounts we have identified as the most serious offenders who have violated the Xbox Live Terms of Use by tampering with their Gamerscore and achievements." administrator Major Nelson wrote in a post on Tuesday.

I think the point is that you shouldnt have to cheat to get your gamerscore. Its prety much a useless feature, and it doeasnt really add anything to the games. Acheivments are good, but cheating to get your gamerscore bigger? why? do you really think somone will look at your XBL profile and go "wow this dudes got a score of 1923129399999 he must be the most awesome human being on the planet!"... ofcourse not! infact the people who care the most about the gamer scores are clearly the people who cheat to get them. come on guys its just a game. I mean honestly...how many people actually give a toss if a little number in their XBL profile is reset to 0.
I own and play allot of xbox 360, and i enjoy getting the acheivments because its a challenge. I dont have enough time and patience to 100% clear the game but it doesnt matter, because the gamer score doesnt even do anything!
Cheating to get a bigger gamerscore is kinda like buying a peice of shit car(Hyundai Excell) for example, and putting a body kit on it. Nothing has changed, its exaclty the same it just looks kinda different!
