I usually have my PS3 connected to my HDTV through an HDMI cable. I recently took it over to my friends place and tried to hook it up with the RCA's to his SDTV and the video wouldn't work. I know that I'm supposed to have it plugged in the have the PS3 off and hold the power button until I hear a second beep. I've done that, and the sound works but the video doesn't.
I've tried 3 different sets of RCA's and two different TV's. I even tried manually changing it and trying to use RCA's on my HDTV and it still failed. The odd thing is about a month ago it was working fine and everything.. I'm still under warranty.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

Does the HDMI connection still work? Or is it just the composite connection?

I've got a theory on the possible problem, since you've been using the HDMI this whole time that left the composite/component input open for dust. Try cleaning the connections with a q-tip and a small amount of rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.

The HDMI still works. And the weird thing is I always have it plugged in and I've always been using it for the audio because my Stereo has composite audio input. JUST the video doesn't work. It used to work before is what beats me.

That's easy. You have the PS3 still set to output via HDMI.

Nope. Because I used to hold down the power button until I heard a second beep and it would restore it to composite output. When I do that it still doesn't work, and HDMI doesn't either. So it's turning it off of HDMI but for some reason isn't working. I think it got damaged or something somehow.. Hmmm.. Any suggestions?

Talk to me on MSN, I'm too lazy to type it here.
