I saw a few things about the blaster 360 being able to flash DVD drive to play back up games, but my question is this: Do I need to purchase anything else along with the blaster 360 to flash the DVD drive? If there is something else I need can you give me a complete list so I can get it all at one time. Thank you!

I agree with wabashman,and it depends on the drive you have.The Hitachi 79FK & 79FL drives need a modchip(Maximus 79PassKey)or you can use a programmer and desolder the TSOP chip to flash that way for the Hitachi 79 drives.The rest of the drives such as Benq,Samsung,earlier Hitachi drives don't need a chip as far as I know.

I don't plan on sending anything in to Microsoft,as they turn around and give you a messed up system to replace a forced RROD system you probably sent in.You have to remember when you send in your console all they do is send you a refurbished console.Your better off sending it to a professional installer instead of Microsoft if you can't do the install.I agree they are the hardest to install,but not impossible to do.Lets say you give yourself a RROD and send it in to Microsoft also,there is still a chance they can send you a system with a 79 drive inside it right.

After my 4th system broke because of RROD they sent me a new BENQ with a production date of only a month. It was brand new. So idk I guess its the luck of the draw

Well you know like you said it is luck bro,and there is still a chance you could end up with a 79 drive after doing the RROD.Sweet jesus bro your 4th system there are ways around the RROD man.I read about it awhile ago,and the cause is from the fans not running at full speed.Microsoft made it where the fans only use some of the voltage to make the system sound quiet.The bad thing is when you tweak the fans the system does sound loud,but atleast you know it is being cooled.

Im not messing with anything they can just keep sending me new consols. Im gona get whisper fans here soon other than that eh im happy just playing my games.

Well yeah I hear you man whatever works for you I would say stick with it.I'm just saying you can use the internal fans instead of whisper fans,but you gotta tweak them to accept more voltage then what they are recieving.
