I used iprep to flash my ms28 and i was able to dump the firmware, but it won't flash. now the xbox is giving me the e65 message. so i read around and looks like i can use a hotswap method to force it to flash. can someone tell me if this is the correct way to do it.

1 two xbox's plugged in with the video and power supply.
2 power on both xboxs and pc at the same time.
3 once in dos before typing in fSam xxxxxx xxxx i plug in the sata cable into the working drive
4 mtkflash detects my drive as option one

afer that I am not really sure what to do?

please help. thakns

not really sure how to restore it back. i have the original.bin on my usb flash.

once I type in the fSam command and do the 10-15 second trick and power back on the xbox nothing happens. This is what my screen looks like:

Drive Scaned:
1: XTREME Pri Master
choose one drive: 1
Port: c8a0, Master/Slave: a0

once I power the xbox back on it stays the same as above. any ideas

Yes bro check this out I was helping SL7Rips the other with the same problem. Read over this http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/643619

Thats gona be everything you need. It turned out to be a bad file on the iXtreme he downloaded. So scroll to the bottom of the first page there are 3-4 links showing you how to restore it. But first copy that original.bin to you desktop, redownload your ixtreme 1.4 and try again

Still no luck. At least this time when I downloaded iPrep and reinstalled it I found an update. I made the flash drive all over again and when I get to the rSam 1234567 12345 it is stuck on the same part like when I am flashing it.

First off, forget the fsam commands.

Turn on both 360's
Have the GOOD samsung hooked up to the SATA
mtkflash w /m /sata hacked.bin

When it tells u xtreme primary, unhook the good sammy and hook the SATA cable to the bad one.

Hit enter

It should flash (even without the 10-sec trick)
