Error in download from The Box PVR to local PC disk

I have The Box PVR. Everything is working 100% smoothly except I'm unable to copy from The Box to my PC. I can connect using USB and can see the PVR hard disk. I copy and paste a .PVR file from a recording and the copy begins fine. However, as the file reached the end I get the following error message:
"Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"
Any ideas anyone?
If anyone knows the answer to downloading from The Box PVR to a local PC disk can you also give me directions for the next step - conversion of a .PVR file to a format which is readable by Windows Media Centre?
