Hi Guys,
Ive been looking for a thread o how to re flash a sammy that has the old extreme 3.3 FW in it,

Im sure i read one time once a version of the hacked FWwas installed when you reflashed it could not be read or written to the same way and needed to be done differently?

Whats the latest FW to use on a samsung ms25 now?

Also can I add a Hitachi drive to the 360 if it came with a sammy ms25 I have the origonal keys that came with its samsung drive?

Any help appreciated.

1.4 is the newest. and to put that hitachi in there, just flash the ms25s key on it

im going to give it a go on to the old sammy drive first that has extreme 3.3 on it but had a problem doing the mtkflash this time, getting ubable to find drive...

So I remember seeing a thread about having to flash differently if extreme was already on the samsung?

can U advise there?

at one point you have to use the 0800 disc to 'unlock' it, but i dont know at which FW point you have to use it. either after 3.3 or 5.3 not sure. and i think you can use iprep to flash that ms25. should be easier than mtk crap.

Is it DOS based to like MTK or do I do it in Windows? any threads you can point me to to have a read?

When i first did the flash on the old drive sammy ms25, MTK was the only way to flash a sammy I think, havent been reading much in a while and thought id have a crack at this old drive again b4 I give in and buy a new one.
