I'm downgrading my fat psp,but do not know how to find out if a lumines copy will work for downgrading.

wait!!!! the patched copies will require you to upgrade to 3.51 in order to play the game. you want the copy that asks you to upgrade to 3.50 Look this on the case:
ULES00043 or ULES00043/P or ULUS10002
