Ok, I have read all the guides and it made me more confusing...I want clarify a few things before I start. I have Slim PSP with OFW 3.71 and I bought a Pandora battery for flashing.

1) I understand that I can not install 1.50 on my slim, right?

2) If I can't install 1.50, can I still run ISO/CSO/Homebrew on my slim with 3.71 M33-4 or 3.90 M33-2?

3) Sounds like I should choose 3.71 M33-4 for my slim, right? Can I use 3.90 M33-2 instead? Is there any difference/advantages over one or the other?

4) There seems to be a lot of talk over "TimeMachine", where does TimeMachine comes in the picture with all this?

5) I also read about 3.80 M33 being used too, is there difference/advantages over 3.71 M33-4 or 3.90 M33-2.

Thank you very much!

1) I understand that I can not install 1.50 on my slim, right?

you can emulate it with time machine but its not required or very usefull

2) If I can't install 1.50, can I still run ISO/CSO/Homebrew on my slim with 3.71 M33-4 or 3.90 M33-2?

yes all major homebrew and emus are now slim compatible

3) Sounds like I should choose 3.71 M33-4 for my slim, right? i would go 3.90m33-2 or 3.80m33-5

Can I use 3.90 M33-2 instead? Is there any difference/advantages over one or the other?

yes 3.80m33-5 will play psx games better/3.90m33-2 has all of the latest ofw options internet raido game compat etc...

4) There seems to be a lot of talk over "TimeMachine", where does TimeMachine comes in the picture with all this?

you can use it to load 1.5 via the mem stick on a slim to run old school home brew or you can just download the latest versions of each hombrew app

5) I also read about 3.80 M33 being used too, is there difference/advantages over 3.71 M33-4 or 3.90 M33-2. discussed above

i reccomend creating a upms so you can change your firmware at will

WoW! thank you so much, that cleared up my world! Sounds like the upms is the step I should take after I got my CFW on my slim, right? Looks like a big guide, I should look at that carefully.

I'm planing on using this guide (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313) to make my Magic Stick, because it looks pretty easy to follow. I believe that uses DCv3, am I correct? Should I somehow use DCv4 instead? Or will that be fine for what I needed?

So, 1.50 is not as useful anymore huh? Is it also true that 1.50 is not that stable on the SlimPSP? Is TimeMachine only used to install 1.50 or is there other uses for it? I am just wondering, because I saw it everywhere.

Oh, what are the popular (must have) apps used on PSP with CFW? Or where can I look to get that info? I would like to get things like: -Network Browser, -Remote desktop (control a PC with my PSP), -Wifi Game controller (I think I might got this one down), -Display my PSP screen on PC monitor (with USB, maybe?), -Wifi finder with PSP?, and other cool things.

MAME emu, is there a working MAME emu for PSP? I read there are 2?, but none sounds like they are working. I would like info on getting the most up-to-date one, and hopefully one that works.

Thanks again!

WoW! Sweet...I'm starting to like my PSP more and more. How about the MAME emu? Any info on that? I am a big fan of MAME, play it on PC...but would be sweet to be able to play (at least some games) on the PSP.

Few more interesting questions to throw at cha:

Is it possible to use the PSP as a second PC monitor?

Is it possible to hook a HDD to the PSP? or any way to get more than 8GB storage for the PSP?

Does the Jap GPS addon work well on US PSP? Any idea when the US version coming out?

How well does the PSP audio out sound on a nice sound system? any hiss? (don't like hiss noise)

I understand that games don't display full-screen on a external display, but does video playback go full-screen?

Thanks, you are the coolest!

For PSX games, I notice people are using 3.80 M33-2 Popsloader...Do I still need this if I am using 3.90 M33-2 and iRshell? Can I 3.90 M33-2 load psx games without iRshell or 3.80 M33-2 Popsloader?

For N64, I notice there is daedalus_psp_r13_v100 and daedalus_psp_r13_v150. Whats the difference?

Frontend iRshell, is this the only app of this type or is there others?

Thanks!
