Okay, on my never ending quest to get a backup to work i am tryin the hotswapping method using WXripper. My burner is a Hitachi-LG Model: GSA -4166B. It is extrmely difficult to switch the disk, so my first question is, for the value, what is the best Burner to use for process. My second problem is i have problems everytime i try to make a copy, i got WXRipper to download fine, i find the magic number fine, but when i tell it to stop drive, it doesnt, after about 5-10 mins, the drive will randomly stop, is this supposed to happen? so i switch disk, (im using Spiderman 2 DVD and the Saints Row Game)if i get to this point on the third one down on dummy, i get a "cyclic error" around 8600. any help is greatly appricated, my msn is rosstaman09@hotmail.com for anyone who thinks they can help me on there.
why dont you just buy the samsung shd-162c drive that is MADE for backing up 360 games. i really dont see why all of you people are so darn cheap and wont spend the 60 bucks for the drive. it pays for itself the very first time you use it, and you dont have to jerk around with this wxripper BS all the time.
step 1) put game into drive
2) open up xbox back up creator, or schrtom
3) select drive, hit unlock a couple times with XBC
4) hit start, select where you want it saved at
4) download and open up dvdmulleter (to ensure it ripped it properly, very very rarely XBC dumps a bad file.)
5) open up clone cd, or image burn (preferably image burn as its free) and select the .dvd file and burn at 2.4x or 4x
6) put game in 360 and enjoy.
