I'd been holding out on buying a ps3, mainly due to not being rich.
Finally I figured I would have the money to get one when they decide to stop selling the 80gb model.
Even though I don't see myself taking full advantage of the bwc, the principle is important to me.
Both of the competing game consoles are backwards compatible, ps3 should be as well.
Then I find out about the upcoming bundle with 80gb hardware+dualshock3+metalgear for $499.
Needless to say, I'm looking to purchase one immediately upon their release.

My only question is when am I going to be able to pre-order this console?
Am I going to have to camp outside play n trade all night the day before or something?
I can't find any definitive information myself, maybe you guys know.

and im nearly sure they ar taking pre-orders

i sure hope they do take pre-orders, but no one is doing it yet.

i'd like to buy from a game store, preferably not gamestop.
here, that leaves one location of play n trade.
they were the last ones i managed to ask about it, and they weren't doing it yet.
