change dreambox 500c tuner driver to old one?

I installed digitalworld6 on my cloned 500c and using the old tuner driver i get far better scanning and the box does not seem to lose signal if left on over night. The problem is that the dw 2.0 image is terrible, very slow. its possibly the worst image i ever used, but you can select old tuner driver which is good. Is there any way of adding the old tuner driver to other images like gemini etc.
