I have a couple questions.
Will MS be able to detect, and possibly ban me from xbox live for replacing LEDs in my xbox 360? And is there a way to open the xbox without voiding the warranty?
Ya, it was rumored that MS had banned some people due to them doing the 12 volt mod to their fan. MS was somehow able to detect a change in voltage. You can find the thread and read up on it over at xbox-scene.com.
So, there may be a possibility you could get banned. No one could give a definate yes or no.
This doesnt apply to you grgxbx360 because I have never thought about that before, but I love how people ask us will MS questions as if we work for MS or something. For the most part we are all in the same boat and know just as little as the person asking about the actions of MS or their process.
Exactly, the most people can do is follow past trends. Which is why i wrote what i did. If you see all of the things that MS could detect on the original Xbox then you can see that they will find ways to detect everything on the new one.
I had never looked into the original xbox untill you said that and holy crap man. What didnt they do to that system. Haha hdd game boots, emu's, streaming, media wow. Its a long road for the 360 =)
