If you have an avi file you need to convert it to a video compliant file. Since you have Nero you will need to use Nero Vision Express which will convert your file to a DVD format and burn it.

Search this site for DVD Flick. You can use that to convert it to an iso image and then burn to a disc with ImgBurn. Both are free programs, if you are willing to spend some money you could buy Nero, Xilisoft (what I use, or a list of many others.

Click the download tab to find what you want to use.

Best of luck to you!

With ImgBurn you have to change the settings to write a data disc. Then load your iso file and burn.

I'm sure there is a guide in here that can tell you everything you need to know.
