80gb in uk?

Hi im new to the forum and was wondering if it it a good idea to get the 80gb US model ps3 and what advantages/dissadvantages it would have. And if there are any better alternatives?

Can someone tell me the differences between a pal 40/60gb ps3 and a US 80gb ps3? Is it worth getting a 80gb? What wont the 80gb ps3 play?

The only thing the 80GB has that the European 60GB doesn't have is the extra space. And if you get the US one I'm pretty sure online wont work correctly in the UK.

This is where people get confused....
If you buy a US PS3, for use in the UK, Region 2 MOVIE BD or DVD,S will not work.
All games are region free.

And PS2/PS1 games are region locked. So really there's no reason you should be getting a US PS3 over a UK one unless you REALLY want the extra 20GB.
