Wii STILL wont read games

Just so everyone knows, I have a USA Wii with a Wiikey in it, with the latest firmware for both the wii and the wiikey.

I started having problems before the latest firmware updates were available.

About two months ago, my system began giving me disc read errors for games that had been working all along. I tried doing a firmware recovery, chaging the read speed to 3x, turning region override on.... just about everything before I decided to get my laser replaced.

Got that done and tried running smash brothers, updated th wii and updated the wiikey to its latest firmware, and im getting the SAME error.

What can I do?

Do you guys think waiting for the new config disc to come out will do anything? Will doing a wii system reset work?

I am a very desperate man here. HELP
