What kind of 360 is easiest for hacking? I want to be able to play 360 back ups.

How easy is it to hack the 360? I heard you don't even need a mod chip.

They all are the same now. All the ones made in 08 have the falcon chip. depends on how much you want to pay I guess. The drive inside the xbox will not be the same for every system. You could pick up a 2 premium machines a one could have a BENQ and the other Samsung.

And no you don't need a modchip. All you do is a firmware flash. I suggest you find some one locally to do it. If this is your first time doing something like this then you could brick it.

It doesnt matter which one you get they are all about the same when it comes to modding wise. And as for which the easiest is just depends on who you ask. I say the Benq but thats just because of my setup others might say the samsung or the hitachi. I will warn you tho there is one system that is very hard to mod and its the Hitachi 79. Now you wont be able to tell if the system has a hitachi 79 or a different version untill you open it. I would advise that you stay away from halo one as those either have the benq or a hitachi 79. Other than that its just a luck of the draw. Id just get a pro if you ask me but its up to you

Yeah the Halo edition is cool and all but odds are it will have a 79 in it like mine did.

I was so pissed when i found out I had the 79. I'm glad it was able to be swapped over to a BENQ. I love that thing. lol.

It's a good time to own an Xbox 360, considering the fact that backing up xbox 360 games has been made very easy, along w/ HDMI support, drop down in prices of HDTV TV, and projector. Now comes to the price reduction of the XBOX 360 itself.

Ok, I just bought an xbox 360 Pro.

How do I know which drive I have and what drive should I be "hoping" to have in my 360?

Is it that hard? I've flashed PSPs, and I build PCs for a living. Would these experiences help me?

Check what kinda drive you have http://www.biline.ca/X-Box/360/allthreedvdsf360.jpg

And you will have to open ur 360 and get the right parts to mod it. Its just a little harder than a psp haha

if you build pc's for a living and can mod a psp then this should be a breeze for you, it just takes general pc knowledge really. and knowing ms-dos helps...
