You just haven't been looking for the right stuff, or searching using the wrong terms or something, because there's plenty of information out there...

Any official firmware PSP (be it Fat or Slim) above 3.50 will need a Pandora Battery to put custom firmware on it.

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

U are going to need pandora's battery. It's a must to install custom firmware on ur psp. What firmware do u have anyway? Is it 3.93 ?

There is 3 ways to get a pandora's battery.

1. Find a friend who has a CFW and let him softmod ur battery
2. Hardmod ur battery (meanin that u are goin have to open the battery itself)
3. Buy the DATEL tool battery
