I was in the process of flashing my DVD-ROM drive(ms28) with iXtreme 1.4, and accidentally pressed the power button twice. It started to flash and on the second bank it got to 55% and the xbox powered off.

Now when switched on, the power led comes on with the four rings flashing (in green) and the power led constantly flashes in green.

Any help people please!!!! Can anything be done???? I have the backup firmware on the USB.

Thanks guys, I'll give this a go after work. My own fault really, should not have done this late in the night and after having a few cans of Guinness.

When I use Iprep again is there a function to restore the orig.bin file? Sorry if this seems a dumb question but this is the first 360 I have flashed(unsuccessfully).

Thanks again.

If that doesn't work, the only thing that will is a hotswap.

Cheers guys for your reply. I have tried the rSam command with the original firmware every second from 1-25 but it just does not seem to work. The power LED is constantly flashing from startup. Also I have noticed on the DVD-ROM drive the red laser on top does not show when the box is switched on like it did last night before I messed up the firmware upgrade.

I've resigned to the fact that the DVD-ROM drive is dead. PS2Menace you mentioned a hotswap, how do I go about this?

I have purchased the exact drive from ebay. I now would like to replace the existing dead drive with the new one(TS-H943 f/w-ms28). I know I have to replace some sort of key from the old one to the new one. I have the original firmware backed up before I messed up the drive upgrade.

I would like to know if the following document is the best one to follow please? http://www.360mods.net/tutorial/Samsungv41.pdf

I do not know if this is the correct way of swapping the drives and would like confirmation or if there is a better tutorial out there (I have looked but can only find tutorials on swapping Hitachi to Samsung).

Changing the board from the old one I think will not work as the drive seems completely dead.

Thanks
